BDE: Mrs. Yocheved Goldberg, 96, OBM
With great sadness we report the passing of Mrs. Yocheved Goldberg OBM, sister of Rabbi Chaim Yehuda Krinsky, longtime personal secretary of the Rebbe. She passed away on Erev Rosh Hashanah, 5786.
She was 96 years old.
Mrs. Goldberg was born to Rabbi Shemaya Krinsky and his wife, Mrs. Ettel Krinsky ע”ה.
Rabbi Shemaya Krinsky (12 Elul 5647–23 Tammuz 5723) was a prominent Chabad chossid in the United States who served as a shochet and bodek in Boston. His home served as a guesthouse for chassidim who came to Boston on behalf of the Rabbeim to raise funds and strengthen Jewish life.
Mrs. Goldberg was blessed to see children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and leaves behind her five children: Yonatan Goldberg, Sarit Ladani, Nisan Goldberg, Liora Heyman, and Shmuel Goldberg.
Her siblings included Rabbi Zev Aryeh Krinsky (Melbourne, Australia), Rabbi Moshe Eliezer Krinsky; Rabbi Yosef Dov Krinsky; Rabbi Pinchas Shmuel Krinsky; Mrs. Chava Devorah Schusterman; Mrs. Nechama Tzipa Goodman; and Mrs. Rivka Hecht.
She is also survived by her youngest brother, Rabbi Chaim Yehuda Krinsky, שיחי’, who served for many years as the Rebbe’s personal secretary.
The levaya will take place Tuesday at the Eretz Hachaim cemetery in Beit Shemesh, Israel.
