Theme Announced for The Upcoming Kinus Hashluchim

The theme for this year’s International Kinus Hashluchim has been announced, placing the Rebbe’s Kapital “הטיבה ה׳ לטובים” at the center of the annual gathering of thousands of Shluchim from around the world.

The theme reflects the primary purpose of the Kinus: to strengthen one another, in the spirit of the words, “איש את רעהו יעזרו ולאחיו יאמר חזק” — each person helping his fellow and encouraging his brother to be strong.

For Shluchim on the front lines of Jewish life around the globe, the message carries particular significance.

Every day presents a Shliach with a choice. A challenge can become a setback, or it can become an opportunity. A difficult situation can lead to frustration, or it can become a catalyst for growth. The difference, organizers say, is often found in the lens through which the situation is viewed.

This year’s Kinus will focus on the Rebbe’s call to choose tov — to seek out the good, cultivate it and bring it to the forefront, both within oneself and in others.

The words of the Kapital — “הטיבה ה׳ לטובים” — express a deeper connection between the goodness a person brings into the world and the goodness that is drawn down from Above.

The Rebbe explained that the conduct of the Ribbono Shel Olam follows the principle of “מידה כנגד מידה”, measure for measure. When a Yid places himself in a state of goodness, he creates a vessel for the revelation of Divine goodness.

In a sichah on Chof Cheshvan 5745, the Rebbe explained:

“מדתו של הקב”ה היא מדה כנגד מדה. ולכן, כאשר רוצים שתהי’ המשכת בחינת הטוב מלמעלה, ‘הטיבה’ – צריכים בני ישראל להיות במעמד ומצב המתאים לכך – ‘טובים’, שעל ידי זה מעוררים את המשכת בחינת הטוב מלמעלה – ‘הטיבה ה’ לטובים’, ‘מדה כנגד מדה’.”

The message will serve as more than a slogan for the Kinus. It is intended to shape the atmosphere of the gathering itself.

Shluchim will be encouraged to strengthen one another through optimism, generosity, positive encouragement and genuine care — recognizing the good in a fellow Shliach and helping bring out the best in one another.

The Kinus Hashluchim has long served as a unique opportunity for Shluchim to step away from the day-to-day responsibilities of Shlichus and come together with their fellow Shluchim.

For a few days, thousands of Shluchim who spend the year strengthening their communities gather to strengthen each other.

That sense of achdus and mutual chizuk has become one of the defining features of the annual Kinus. Alongside farbrengens, learning sessions, workshops and meetings addressing the practical realities of Shlichus, the gathering provides Shluchim with an opportunity to share experiences, encourage one another and return home with renewed energy.

This year’s theme places that relationship at the forefront.

The “טובים” are not simply individuals seeking personal growth. They are a collective — Shluchim looking out for one another, celebrating each other’s successes, offering support during difficult times and creating an environment in which every Shliach knows that he is part of something far greater than himself.

And when thousands of Shluchim make that choice together, the impact extends far beyond the walls of the Kinus.

The chizuk experienced by a Shliach in Crown Heights returns with him to his community. The encouragement he receives becomes encouragement for his family and the Yidden he serves. The achdus among Shluchim becomes a source of strength for Chabad communities around the world.

The theme therefore carries a broader message: our choice to bring more tov into the world can itself become the vessel for greater brachah from Above.

As the Shluchim gather and strengthen one another, the hope is that their collective commitment to goodness will bring about the corresponding “הטיבה” — an outpouring of Divine goodness upon their Shlichus, their families and all of Klal Yisrael.

And ultimately, the greatest expression of tov is the Geulah Shleimah.
