Grand Opening of Lubavitcher Yeshiva Mesivta
In an incredible event, the Rabbeim of Lubavitcher Yeshiva gathered for a special first look at the beautifully renovated Mesivta building, Located at the Ocean Parkway campus, the building will once again become a vibrant home of Torah and Chassidus as the new home of the Yeshiva’s Mesivta.
The move marks a true “Machzir Atarah l’Yoshnah” returning the historic Yeshiva building to its former glory, while bringing it to an entirely new level, befitting the growth and continued expansion of Tomchei Temimim.
The Rabbeim toured the newly renovated building, including the comfortable new dormitory and magnificent mikvah. There was a special sense of Nachas as the Rabbeim reflected on watching their Talmidim grow year after year, and now seeing them take their next step into Mesivta.
The new building reflects a theme that has accompanied Lubavitch Yeshiva throughout its tremendous growth in recent years : “Hecher un Hecher. and now also Breiter un Breiter” constantly reaching higher and expanding wider, both b’Gashmiyus and b’Ruchniyus.
In keeping with the Rebbe’s emphasis that a Yeshiva and its physical surroundings should be befitting the Torah learned within its walls, tremendous thought and effort went into creating a building that is spacious, dignified and beautiful in every detail.
The gathering was addressed by Rabbi Braun, the Rov of Crown Heights, Rabbi Yosef Simpson, Menahel of the Yeshiva and Rabbi Scharf, Menahel of the Mesivta, who spoke about the significance of this new chapter and the tremendous zechus and achrayus that comes along with it.
More than the opening of a renovated building, the evening celebrated the continued growth of a Yeshiva and its Talmidim, building upon the chinuch of the previous years and carrying it forward into Mesivta.
As beautiful as the new building is b’Gashmiyus, it will Bez”H be surpassed by the beauty within the קול תורה, the davening, the Vareme Chassidishkeit and the growth of its Talmidim, as Tomchei Temimim continues to grow Hecher un Hecher, Breiter un Breiter, preparing generations of Chasidim, Temimim and Shluchim and giving the Rebbe continued Nachas.
