LIVE NOW: Rebbe’s Father’s Yahrtzeit Visit to the Ohel in Alma-Ata to Be Broadcast Worldwide

For the first time, the central visit to the Ohel of the gaon and mekubal Harav Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, father of the Rebbe, on the night of 20 Menachem Av, will be broadcast live to Jews around the world.

At midnight local time in Alma-Ata, hundreds of guests who have traveled from across the globe for the yahrtzeit will gather at the tziyun of the Baal HaHilula. The gathering will include the recitation of selected chapters of Tehillim and the reading of the Pan Klali, all of which will be streamed live worldwide.

Organizers note that, for the first time, the scheduled time of the gathering is particularly convenient for communities across multiple time zones, allowing shluchim and Anash around the world to participate simultaneously in this special moment.

The Pan Klali and central gathering at the Ohel will begin at:

12:00 AM – Alma-Ata (Almaty) local time

10:00 PM – Israel time

3:00 PM – New York time

The live broadcast will enable thousands of Chassidim who are unable to travel to Kazakhstan to join in the tefillos and commemorate the yahrtzeit of Harav Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, whose legacy continues to inspire generations of Chabad-Lubavitch Chassidim.
