In Honor of Chof Av: Blessings, Miracles, and A Family’s Connection to the Rebbe

Chof Av, the yahrzeit of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, the Rebbe’s father, is an opportunity to reflect on his extraordinary life, sacrifice, and enduring legacy.

In honor of this special day, Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowicz of Chabad Lubavitch of Southwest Florida had the privilege of interviewing Mrs. Ita Neymotin, whose family shared a unique and historic connection with Rabbi Levi Yitzchak and the Rebbe’s family.

In this inspiring interview, Ita shares two unforgettable firsthand stories:

A remarkable blessing she received from the Rebbe at just six years old—a blessing whose impact continues to accompany her throughout her life.

An incredible miracle involving her grandfather, Reb Yosef Neymotin, who cared for the Rebbe’s father during his exile in Kazakhstan. Just before a scheduled operation, the Rebbe instructed that there was no need for the surgery. The operation was canceled, and Reb Yosef went on to live another 13 years.

These moving accounts offer a rare glimpse into the Rebbe’s blessings, the devotion of the Neymotin family, and the power of faith and Divine Providence.
