Tisha B’Av 5786 Observed at Shuls and Chabad Houses Across Paris and the Surrounding Area
On the occasion of Tisha B’Av 5786, communities gathered in Shuls and Chabad Houses throughout Paris and the surrounding area for the traditional prayers, the reading of Eichah and Kinot, commemorating the destruction of the First and Second Holy Temples in Jerusalem.
At the Chabad House of Flandre in Paris’s 19th arrondissement, under the leadership of Rabbi Daniel Gabay and Rabbi Mendel Lubecki, worshippers assembled in an atmosphere of mourning and reflection to observe the solemn day.
On Wednesday evening, the eve of Tisha B’Av, a special service was held at the Chabad House of Créteil, led by Rabbi Haim Mellul, featuring the reading of Megillat Eichah and the recitation of Kinot.
At Beth Haya Mouchka Synagogue in Paris, the Tisha B’Av services were led by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Azimov, a Chabad emissary in France.
At the Chabad Synagogue on 17 Rue des Rosiers in Paris, the services were conducted by Rabbi Benjamin Engelberg and Rabbi Joseph Mergui, together with Rabbi Eliyahu Edelman, Rabbi Eliezer Arnau, Rabbi Ferdj Zerbib, with the participation of Rabbi Azimov.
