They Waited 10 Years for Their Miracle

Give for Gratitude returns, inviting our community to turn gratitude into hope.

This Sunday, Bonei Olam Chabad brings back Give for Gratitude, a campaign rooted in the hope of those still waiting, the gratitude of those whose prayers have already been answered, and the sacred mission of helping bring Jewish children into the world. It is a reminder that the truest expression of gratitude for our own blessings is helping another family receive theirs.

For six years now, Bonei Olam Chabad has been a lifeline for families in our community struggling with fertility. Through financial assistance, expert medical guidance, and steadfast emotional support, Bonei Olam Chabad walks beside couples through every step of the journey to parenthood. Each child born is a testament to faith, resilience, and the strength of a community that cares.

This past year alone tells the story better than any appeal could. Bonei Olam Chabad supported 148 couples, made 299 procedures possible, invested more than 1.3 million dollars directly into the families who needed it, and welcomed 36 precious babies into the world. Yet 119 couples are still waiting, still hoping, still davening for the child they long to hold. For them, the next miracle depends on all of us.

Last summer, our community embraced a simple truth. This year, it returns as the heart of Give for Gratitude: celebrate your blessings, and help others build theirs. When we have been blessed, the truest way to say thank you is to help bring that same blessing to someone else. Your gratitude becomes their hope.

That belief reaches further than most people realize. Gratitude isn’t only for the day a baby is born. It echoes through every milestone that follows; every upsherin, every bar mitzvah, every walk to the chuppah. Every one of those moments began with the same miracle, the moment that family began. When you give, you are not funding a procedure.
You are giving a family every simcha still ahead of it.

Now it’s our turn. As Give for Gratitude begins once again, our community has the opportunity to make sure no couple has to face this journey without hope. The goal is simple and urgent: to meet a growing need and continue providing life-changing support to every couple searching for their miracle.

The campaign runs July 26 through 28, a 1.2 million dollar effort to ensure no couple faces the fertility journey alone, and it comes together on Monday, July 27 at The Arches for the 6th Annual Men’s Event, with a soulful kumzitz featuring Eli Levin, prime meats, an open bar, and cigars in good company.
