The atmosphere was electric last Thursday as 400 bochurim, representing 36 yeshivos from across the globe, gathered for the grand finale banquet of the International Moshiach Chidon 5786. The evening marked the culmination of months of mastering hundreds of pages of Inyonei Geulah and Moshiach.
Following months of preparation, finalists faced a grueling three-round competition—including an audience-interactive grid, a rapid-fire 15-second lightning round, and a deep-dive concept defense judged by Rabbi Shloma Majeski, Rabbi Mendel Blau, and Rabbi Sholom Zirkind. Between rounds, singer Eli Marcus kept the energy high, leading the room in spirited niggunim and dancing.
The 5786 Champions:
1st Place: Schneur Vigler (Yeshiva of Pomona) – Won a Ksav Yad of the Rebbe.
2nd Place: Sadya Bell (Yeshiva of Suffield) – Won a Dollar of the Rebbe.
3rd Place: Menachem Hurowitz (Mesivta Menachem Westchester) – Received a Stamp from the Rebbe.
In an incredible display of dedication, over 50 bochurim received special three-year completer certificates, earning a roaring standing ovation. Yeshiva of Cincinnati and Yeshiva of Scottsdale, Arizona also took home Rebbe dollars in a special raffle after more than half of their student bodies passed the final.
By the end of the night, over 1,000 seforim were raffled off, and every single participant walked away with a copy of Inyano Shel Moshiach. The bochurim left inspired not just to learn about Geulah, but to live it—bringing a tremendous amount of Nachas to the Rebbe.
