Three Days in London: A Journey Into the Heart of Jewish Life in Britain’s Capital

For three memorable days this week, photographer Mordechai Lubecki of Paris had the opportunity to experience firsthand the vibrant and thriving Jewish life of London, one of the largest and most diverse Jewish communities in Europe.

Traveling from Paris by train, Lubecki spent his visit exploring the rich tapestry of Jewish life throughout the British capital. As a photographer, he documented numerous meaningful moments within the local Jewish community, with a special focus on the many institutions of Chabad-Lubavitch across the United Kingdom.

Among the highlights of the trip was meeting renowned baal tefillah and chazzan Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Raskin, a respected and well-known figure within the Chabad-Lubavitch community in England.

During his stay, Loubavitchi visited a variety of kosher establishments, experienced the warm atmosphere of London’s Jewish neighborhoods, and sampled the local Jewish cuisine at restaurants operating under the supervision of the Kedassia Beth Din.

The visit provided a unique blend of community engagement, spirituality, photography, and cultural discovery. It also served as an opportunity to strengthen the bonds between the Jewish communities of Paris and London while showcasing the dynamic and far-reaching activities of Chabad-Lubavitch throughout the United Kingdom.
