Frozen Zone to Be Implemented Around Ohel for Gimmel Tammuz; Visitors Urged to Use Shuttle Buses

by CrownHeights.info

As thousands of visitors are expected to travel to the Ohel in Cambria Heights, Queens, for Gimmel Tammuz, authorities will be implementing a frozen zone around the Ohel area to help manage the large crowds and ensure public safety.

According to organizers, the NYPD will be restricting vehicle access in the immediate vicinity of the Ohel. Parking and traffic access are expected to be significantly limited throughout the day and night as visitors arrive to mark the yahrtzeit of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory.

Attendees are strongly encouraged to utilize the Bus to Ohel transportation service rather than attempting to drive directly to the area. Those arriving by vehicle should be prepared for road closures, traffic diversions, and limited parking availability.

The frozen zone will surround the Ohel complex, with designated pedestrian routes directing visitors to separate men’s and women’s entrances and orderly exit paths. Organizers have also arranged amenities on-site, including hand-washing stations, vending areas, and shuttle bus access points.

Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow instructions from NYPD officers, security personnel, and Ohel staff to ensure a safe and orderly experience for all those visiting the holy site on this significant day.
