Three Shluchim Awarded Mitzvah Tank Grants Since Last Gimmel Tammuz

There are thousands of Chabad-Lubavitch shluchim serving communities large and small around the world.

But what about the Jew who can’t make it to a Chabad House? What about the Jew who lives in a remote community, or whose daily routine leaves little time to seek out a Jewish connection?

One powerful answer lies in the Rebbe’s vision of the Mitzvah Tank—a vehicle that brings Torah, mitzvos, and Jewish pride directly to Jews wherever they are.

Last year, in honor of Gimmel Tammuz, Machne Israel’s Keren Mamosh launched a Mitzvah Tank Grant Program to help shluchim purchase and outfit new Mitzvah Tanks. The response was overwhelming, with applications arriving from around the world.

Three shluchim were awarded $18,000 grants:

• Rabbi Yaakov and Tiferes Cahnman – Rural Northeastern Arizona, USA

• Rabbi Yisroel and Sarah Bernath – Montreal, Quebec, Canada

• Rabbi Mendel and Musya Shemtov – Montevideo, Uruguay

As we approach the Rebbe’s 32nd yahrtzeit on 3 Tammuz, and in response to the continued interest from shluchim worldwide, we are pleased to announce that the Mitzvah Tank Grant Program will once again be offered this year.

Established following Gimmel Tammuz 5754, Keren Mamosh has spent more than three decades strengthening Chabad-Lubavitch institutions and advancing the Rebbe’s vision.
