Infant in Critical Condition After Being Left in Vehicle in Kfar Chabad

A four-month-old infant was rushed to the hospital in critical condition Wednesday after being found unconscious inside a parked vehicle in Kfar Chabad.

Emergency responders from Magen David Adom were called to the Chabad community in central Israel after reports of a baby left inside a closed car for an extended period.

Upon arrival, paramedics found the infant suffering from severe heatstroke symptoms after reportedly being trapped inside the vehicle under the hot sun.

“When we arrived, we were led to the baby, who was unconscious after being inside a closed vehicle for a prolonged period,” MDA medics said. “We immediately provided lifesaving medical treatment and evacuated the infant to the hospital.”

The child was transported to Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh) in critical condition for emergency medical care.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The tragedy serves as another painful reminder of the dangers posed by leaving children unattended in vehicles, particularly during the warmer months when temperatures inside a closed car can rise rapidly to life-threatening levels.

Community members are urged to remain vigilant and take precautions to ensure that no child is ever left behind in a vehicle.
