Kfar Saba Celebration Marks 70th Birthday of Shliach Rabbi Yoel Yamini
On Sunday evening, a special celebration was held in honor of the 70th birthday of Rabbi Yoel Yamini, the Rebbe’s shliach in Kfar Saba. Hundreds of friends, community members, and well-wishers gathered to pay tribute to his decades of devoted service on behalf of the city’s residents and the broader community.
The evening opened with words of Torah by Rabbi Oren Goldman, a member of the local Chabad community, who shared insights from the Rebbe’s teachings and spoke about Rabbi Yamini’s unique dedication and care for every Jew.
Mr. Hazi Shabbat, a longtime friend of Rabbi Yamini, followed with heartfelt greetings and personal reflections from their many years of friendship.
Rabbi Shalom Zohar, director of the Chabad House in the Yoseftal–Kaplan neighborhood, described how Rabbi Yamini’s example and lifelong work inspired him in his own shlichus.
Rabbi Aharon Parchi of Charish shared his personal journey to Chassidus and shlichus, attributing much of his inspiration to Rabbi Yamini.
A moving video greeting from Rabbi Yamini’s son, Mendy Yamini, currently serving in IDF reserve duty in northern Israel, was presented during the program.
Later in the evening, Rabbi Eliezer Mizrachi delivered remarks on the essence of a shliach, while Rabbi Shlomo Mizrachi, who studied together with Rabbi Yamini in yeshivah in Lod, shared memories from their years together and spoke about the meaning of a Rebbe and a Chassid.
Throughout the event, videos and presentations highlighting Rabbi Yamini’s many years of shlichus were screened, showcasing the breadth and impact of his activities over the decades.
The program was skillfully emceed by DJ Shneur Zohar, who also led lively Chassidic dancing that filled the hall with joy and celebration.
Rabbi Sasson Terbelsi, chairman of the local Religious Council, presented Rabbi Yamini with a special commemorative medal in recognition of his longstanding contribution to Jewish life in the city.
Participants offered heartfelt blessings that Rabbi Yamini continue his shlichus with good health, happiness, and success for many years to come, until the complete revelation of the Rebbe.
