Historic Recording: The Rebbe Establishes the Custom of Rambam Siyumim

During the first farbrengen of the second day of Shavuot 5749 (1989), the Rebbe instructed Rabbi Menachem Gerlitzky to conduct a siyum on the Rambam’s halachos. From that point on, it became an established custom to mark the completion of each section of the Rambam with a formal siyum.
