New “Hayom Yom Illustrated” Project Bringing Daily Chassidus to Life Through Art

A new project is bringing the daily teachings of Hayom Yom to life through clear and engaging visual illustrations.

Called “Hayom Yom Illustrated,” the initiative presents each day’s teaching in a structured and visually meaningful way, helping make the ideas more approachable for students, families, educators, and everyday readers.

The project was launched by Mendy Blesofsky, M.S.Ed., ADHD Coach and educator, who began creating illustrations based on the short but powerful daily entries of Hayom Yom. Each illustration focuses on one central message, turning deep Chassidic concepts into something easier to understand and connect with.

Originally compiled by the Lubavitcher Rebbe in 1942, Hayom Yom is a collection of daily teachings and customs arranged according to the Jewish calendar. The new illustrated format keeps the original teachings intact while adding a visual layer that helps bring the message to life.

One recent illustration focused on the Hayom Yom teaching:
“The Rebbe is not alone. The Chassidim are not alone.”

The artwork portrayed the powerful connection between a Rebbe and Chassidim through a warm and emotionally engaging scene that resonated strongly with viewers.

Another popular illustration highlighted the message:
“The purity and sincerity of the simple Yid will shine openly,”
showing the quiet strength and sincerity found in simple avodah performed with אמת and תמימות.

The project’s WhatsApp group has quickly gained attention and continues to grow, with many parents, teachers, shluchim, and community members sharing the illustrations and using them to start meaningful conversations around the daily teaching.

The initiative was launched in memory of Mendy’s father, R’ Aharon Hakohen Blesofsky ע״ה, who passed away on Shabbos, 6 Elul, 5785. R’ Aharon was a longtime member of the Crown Heights community, known as a baal menagen and for composing one of the Rebbe’s birthday niggunim.

Gorgeous and inspiring B”H! But please tweak the picture of the boy sawing wood, and make sure his foot is not on the work table near the saw. Accidents can easily happen r”l. (Take it from a reader who learned how to saw wood at the age of 4.)
