Young Shluchim From Across Britain Unite for Regional Kinus

Young Shluchim from across England made their way to Nottingham this past Shabbos for MyShliach’s UK Regional Boys Shabbaton, hosted by Rabbi Mendy and Mrs. Brocha Lent of Chabad of Nottingham. The Shabbaton drew boys from across the English countryside, many traveling hours to spend Shabbos with fellow young shluchim they rarely get to see.

“Every young shliach should know they’re part of a large, loving family,” said Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Executive Director of Merkos 302. “Whether in North Dakota or Nottingham, no child on shlichus should ever feel alone.”

Organized by the MyShliach team at Merkos 302, the Kinus was packed with camp-style Shabbos seudos, farbrengens, games, and group activities, led by a dedicated group of bochurim that flew in from Crown Heights. After Shabbos, the boys were treated to a day of trips and activities including boat races and an indoor adventure park. By Sunday evening, the boys were heading home with new friendships, fresh chayus, and a renewed excitement to continue their special shlichus.

Mrs. Leah Moscowitz, Shlucha in Surrey, a suburb of London, said her son Moshe came home bursting with excitement. “He was so happy to connect with friends and couldn’t stop telling me about the fun counselors, the trips, and the wonderful Shabbos program,” she said. “So much planning and detail goes into pulling off an event like this, and it is so appreciated.”

Additional Boys and Girls Shabbatons are planned across various regions in the US and internationally, including locations in the Caribbean and Asia.
