Chabad Shliach, Reservist in The IDF, Critically Injured In Syria Blast – Tehillim Requested

The IDF announced today that a reservist stationed in Syria was seriously wounded in a blast near an army post.

The reservist has been identified as Rabbi Liraz Zeira, a Major in the IDF and Shliach to Nachlaot in Eretz Yisroel.

According to reports, the officer was preparing the outpost for Yom Kippur and he apparently jumped from a tank that was parked near the outpost, unwittingly activating an old mine.

He was evacuated by helicopter to Rambam Hospital in Haifa.

Earlier in the war, Rabbi Zeira was in Gaza, and while there he fulfilled the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s directive to print a copy of the Tanya, the foundational text of Chabad Chassidus, all over the world.
