Coordination Between Two Shomrim Organizations Returns Tefillin Stolen From 770

by CrownHeights.info

After hours of coordination between Crown Heights Shomrim and the newly formed Manhattan Shomrim, a pair of Tefillin stolen from 770 was recovered and returned to their owner.

“A tallis & two pairs of tefillin worth $7,000 were stolen from 770 in Crown Heights earlier today,” Manhattan Shomrim wrote on social media. “@ShomrimCH alerted our volunteers in Manhattan.”

According to those familiar with the incident, the Tallis and Tefillin were in a Tallis bag that was trackable, and it led the volunteers to a building in Manhattan.

“Hours of diligent coordination, tracking and surveillance led our members to secure the items and return them swiftly to their owner,” they wrote.

Manhattan Shomrim was just launched as the newest division of Shomrim this past week.
