Lipa & Alex Lieberman Offers Bonus for Counselors

Camp Emunah faced a significant challenge: recruiting staff for its summer sessions. Many prospective counselors chose to work with shluchim during the summer, leaving the camp with a shortage of staff. In search of guidance, Reb Chave Hecht, OBM, inquired with the Rebbe whether working at Camp Emunah could be considered his shlichus. The Rebbe affirmed, stating it was indeed “shlichus from Hakadosh Baruch Hu mamash”

Inspired by this, Lipa and Alex Leiberman, long-time supporters of Camp Emunah, are offering a $250 bonus to any 12th grader who joins the camp’s first session as staff. Their generous contribution aims to encourage more young women to take part in this meaningful opportunity.

Rabbi Shea Hecht, Chairman of the board of the National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education (NCFJE), has expressed his gratitude for the Liebermans’ support. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in ensuring that Camp Emunah continues to provide a transformative experience for its campers and staff alike.

Camp Emunah, established in 1953 by Rabbi Yaakov Yehuda OB”M and his wife Rebbitzen Chava Hecht OB”M, has been a the leader of Lubavitch and Jewish camping. With the guidance and blessing of the Rebbe, the camp has grown to become one of the largest and most respected girls’ overnight camps in the world.

As the camp emunah prepares for to open for the 73rd summer the support from individuals like Lipa and Alex Lieberman ensures that Camp Emunah can continue its mission for as many children as possible said Rabbi Hanoch Hecht.
