NYPD Commissioner Makes Visit to 770

Recently appointed Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch made a quiet visit to 770 Eastern Parkway Tuesday accompanied by local leaders and NYPD brass.

“Honored to accompany @NYPDPC Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch on her visit to Chabad World Headquarters today,” wrote Rabbi Yaacov Behrman, the Chabad Public Relation Liaison at Chabad Headquarters.

Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch visited the Rebbe’s room at Chabad World Headquarters, along with the communication room, and the Library of Agudas Chasidei Chabad.

She was welcomed and given a tour by Rabbi Yaacov Behrman and provided a tour of the library by Chabad’s Chief Librarian, Rabbi Berel Levin. Rabbi Chaim Baruch Halberstam led the visit to the Rebbe’s room alongside Rabbi Mendel Eisenbach, head of Chabad’s Visitor Center of 770.

Joining the visit were NYPD Deputy Chief Richie Taylor, Brooklyn South Commanding Officer Assistant Chief Francis Giordano, and 71st Precinct Commanding Officer Captain Ronald Perez. Also in attendance were Rabbi Mendy Hershkop from Shomrim, Crown Heights community leader Rabbi Shlomie Hecht, and Rabbi Chanina Sperlin.
