J-iGNITE Hosts Exclusive Evening with Kelly and Kathryn

Sydney’s Jewish community gathered last week for a standout evening as J-iGNITE, a platform known for fostering innovation, leadership, and networking among young professionals, hosted a unique one-off event open to a broader audience. The intimate conversation featured two powerhouse women: Kelly Bayer Rosmarin, former CEO of Optus, and Kathryn Eisman, Emmy-nominated journalist and founder of High Heel Jungle.

Held at a private Eastern Suburbs residence, the event was co-hosted by Jenna Baskin, immediate past CEO of MCI Solutions and now Global Managing Director of Medvec & Associates, alongside Denise Meyerson, founder of MCI Solutions. Jenna opened the evening by reflecting on the often-underestimated value of networking, even in brief interactions and the importance of respecting the time and wisdom mentors offer.

Throughout the evening, Kathryn guided Kelly through a candid, wide-ranging conversation, offering attendees rare, behind-the-scenes access to insights not easily found in public talks or media interviews. Kelly spoke openly about the calculated risks that shaped her leadership, the fast evolving role of artificial intelligence, the importance of giving back long before reaching the top, and the delicate art of building resilient, high performing teams. Her reflections offered practical, hard earned lessons, the kind only available through direct, personal exchange.

What made this J-iGNITE evening particularly special was its stand-alone nature: unlike most J-iGNITE events designed exclusively for young adults, this gathering welcomed a wider cross-section of the community, uniting aspiring entrepreneurs, seasoned professionals, and engaged community members alike. An active Q&A allowed attendees to draw out even deeper insights, making the conversation as interactive as it was illuminating.

Organisers expressed gratitude to the speakers and attendees, describing the evening as part of J-iGNITE’s broader mission to create spaces where business leadership, innovation, and community values intersect. With plans for future events already underway, J-iGNITE continues to position itself as a dynamic hub for meaningful connection and growth within the Sydney Jewish community.
