BDE: R’ Avrohom Shmuel Spalter, 93, OBM

With great sadness we report the passing of R’ Avrohom Shmuel Spalter OBM, a devoted and humble chossid and patriarch of a large Lubavitch family. He passed away on Tuesday, the 24th of Nissan, 5785.

He was 93 years old.

A patriarch of a large Lubavitch family, R’ Shmuel’s passing marks the end of a life dedicated to Torah, humility, and service to others. He lived in North Miami Beach, FL.

He is survived by his wife, Mirel, and their children; Rabbi Moshe Spalter (Toronto, Canada), Mrs. Libi Wolf (Chicago, IL), Mrs. Mindy Chazan (Manchester, UK), Mrs. Dassi New (Atlanta, GA), Rabbi Hershel Spalter (Costa Rica), R’ Yitzi Spalter (North Miami Beach, FL), Rabbi Yisroel Spalter (Weston, FL), Mrs. Chani Nemes (New Orleans, LA), Rabbi Mendy Spalter (Los Angeles, CA), as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The levaya will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, passing by 770 at 2:30 pm, burial at Montefiore Cemetery at 3:30 pm.

The family will be sitting Shiva in Crown Heights on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning only.
The will be sitting at 699 Crown Street on Wednesday from 6:30 PM, Mincha and Maariv B’zmano.
Shacharis at 8:00 am and 8:45 am, four minyanim needed.
