I fail to see a good reason why a Jewish town should bar anybody from lighting a menorah in any place. The mere fact that it is a Jewish tradition it should be allowed,

In a democracy where equal rights are given, the concern is, once a public chanukah menorah is allowed, how can then later nit allow an x-mass trees and the other religious displays? It makes sense to ban ALL religious holiday public
    displays on public property!

If the town was in it’s origin Christian and it’s tradition Christian then by all means let display Xmas ware That would be a true democracy. Your democracy is to defend your way of thinking. And that is the trouble with the Israeli supreme court and “the liberals” They think that they poses some superior morality.

If the town was Christian an origin and it’s inhabitants want to display their tradition. Then by all means let them do it. That would be a true democracy. Your democracy is limited to protecting your way of thinking. In truth it is a Liberal fascism
