Tzeirei Hashluchim Winter Camp Announces Head Staff
Entering its 12th year, Tzeirei Hashluchim Winter Camp is designed to foster a sense of family among young Shluchim. The camp’s Chassidishe and warm atmosphere ensures a fun and inspiring experience for every young Shliach. Spending time and connecting with each other at Tzeirei Hashluchim Winter Camp gives young Shluchim a chance to make new friends.
“Tzeirei Hashluchim Winter Camp is a real family,” says Rabbi Zalmy Kudan, Director of the camp, “The directors, staff, and campers all treat each other like the mishpachas Hashluchim we truly are. It’s because of this that everybody feels comfortable and loves being here.”
Every day is packed with exciting activities like skating or archery and much more. And as Shluchim of The Rebbe, every outing becomes a chance to spread the light of Yiddishkeit to any Jews encountered, reinforcing their mission and life purpose.
Last year, young Shluchim gathered from across the globe, with some traveling from as far as Australia to be part of this extraordinary experience. Tzeirei Hashluchim Winter Camp is more than just a camp—it’s a home away from home, where young Shluchim can recharge, connect, and grow in their Hiskashrus.
“The significance of ensuring that young Shluchim have positive and meaningful Chassidishe experiences cannot be overstated,” says Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Executive Director of Merkos 302. “It is our responsibility to support the Shluchim in every way possible, addressing their needs holistically. This camp fulfills a critical and essential role in that mission.”
The dedicated directors and head staff are preparing tirelessly to ensure this year’s camp is unforgettable for every participant. Leading the way are this year’s head counselors, Mendel Lipsidge, Mordy Shapiro, and Sholom Ber Gerlitzky.
Camp begins on Tes-Vov Kislev and ends on Chof-Beis Kislev (Dec. 15–22), giving these young Shluchim the energy and passion they need to return home and spread the light to their respective communities over this upcoming Chanukah.
The camp’s success is a direct result of the dedication and hard work of its directors Rabbi Zalmy & Shterna Kudan and Rabbi Mendel & Rochel Loschak. Their unwavering commitment to creating an inspiring and supportive environment ensures every young Shliach feels valued and connected.
The camp is organized and run by Shluchim for Shluchim. The executive committee overseeing the camp’s funding and operations are California Shluchim Rabbis Simcha Backman, Rabbi Nachman Abend, and Rabbi Shlomo Bistritsky.
