BDE: Rabbi Gershon Nof, OBM
With great sadness we report the passing of Rabbi Gershon Nof OBM, a resident of Boro Park and patriarch of a large Lubavitch family. He passed away on Tuesday, the 17th of Tammuz, 5784.
Born in Moscow in 1939, his family was one of the first to leave Russia with the eshelons. He was a prolific Talmid chacham and authored several seforim on a wide range of topics.
He is also survived by his children, Yosef Priel, Nechemia Priel, Bruchy Winterfeld, and by his stepchildren Menachem Moskowitz, Sima Bart, and Devory Gottlieb.
He is survived by his siblings Mrs. Miriam Roitblatt, Ms. Ruchomo Romanov, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Romanov.
The Levaya will take place today, Wednesday, the 18th of Tammuz, 9:30am by Divrei Chaim in Boro Park at 1214 43 Street. The Levaya will pass by 770 at 10:30am, and by the Ohel at 11:30am.
