Elevating the Party with a Mitzvah Experience

Many young teens view their Bar/Bat Mitzvah as a party celebrating their own personal milestone, but can miss out on another side: their new responsibility for others, sharing the beauty of Judaism with friends and family.

In a new initiative developed in collaboration with Merkos 302’s OneMitzvah, CKids, and Tzivos Hashem, the Bar and Bat Mitzvah Campaign Package gives Jewish boys and girls the opportunity to take ownership of their Judaism.

“Becoming Bar Mitzvah means beginning to take an adult role in Jewish life, which is all about caring for others in addition to oneself,” says Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice-Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch, founder of OneMitzvah and Chairman of CKids, “The Rebbe would encourage children reaching this important milestone to positively influence their friends and family to do mitzvos with them,”

Offering a fully customizable toolkit, including a personal online “Mitzvah Raising” page, pre-written emails, social media graphics, and a video, the OneMitzvah Bar Mitzvah template empowers young adults to easily launch their own mitzvah campaign in honor of their special day.

“By uniting family and community around mitzvos, kids gain a sense of responsibility and the power to positively impact the world,” says Rabbi Zalmy Lowenthal, director of CKids International at Merkos 302.

“The most important focus for the new Bar or Bas Mitzvah should be emphasized at the heart of the event,” says Rabbi Eli Newman, Director of OneMitzvah at Merkos 302.

Launched alongside the BAM Bar Mitzvah preparation program, this package provides a well-rounded Bar/Bat Mitzvah experience. To get started with The Bar and Bat Mitzvah Package, contact Eli at 770-742-9399
