Surprising as it may sound, it wasn’t always so certain that he’d become such a staunch Chassid and devoted Jew. Rambunctious and somewhat rebellious, he was a fun-loving American teenager in the 1940s, when he met the Rebbe one day while on his way to the movies. The ensuing relationship transformed his life – and the lives of many, many others.
