Yeshivas Lubavitch of Baltimore Moves Into New Building

R. Ephraim Rosenbloom affixing the Mezuzah as Rabbi Dovid Weber looks on.

On Friday Vov Cheshvan/October 19, Yeshivas Lubavitch of Baltimore, only in its third year since opening, moved into their new building. During the past two years the yeshiva used space in Ohel Levi Yitzchok Lubavitch under the leadership of Rabbi Elchonon Lisbon. With the increased growth of the yeshiva from one Shiur in its first year to two Shiurim in its second year and close to 50 Bochurim and Talmidim Hashluchim, the need for the yeshiva to have a building of its own became quite clear.

Under the leadership of the Rosh Yeshiva – Rabbi Dovid Weber, Yeshiva President – R. Ephraim Rosenbloom, and Rabbi Shmuel Kaplan Shliach Roshi of Maryland a fundraising campaign was launched to buy the new building. After several months of renovations the building was finally ready to be occupied.

The new building includes a beautiful and spacious Zal, dining room, Shiur room, and offices. It is located on Park Heights Ave, the main residential street in the Frum community of Baltimore.

On Friday night Shabbos Parshas Lech Lecha the Bochurim celebrated this momentous occasion with a spirited Seder Chassidus led by the yeshiva Mashpia Rabbi Nochum Bukiet, followed by Seder Hanigunim, Chazaras Da”ach, and spontaneous singing and dancing.

On Sunday Ches Cheshvan/October 21, mezuzah’s were affixed to the main doorways of the building by Rabbi Shmuel Kaplan and R’ Ephraim Rosenbloom.

Following the Kvias HaMezuzos everyone said Lechaim together with the Hanhalas HaYeshiva yeshiva, Rabbi Dovid Weber, Rabbi Nochum Bukiet, Rabbi Moshe Slavaticki and Rabbi Levi Kaplan.

The establishment of the yeshiva in its new home is sure to usher in a new era of Hafatzas Hamyanos in the Baltimore Jewish community.
