CYH Hosts Spectacular R”C Cheshvan Farbrengen

On Sunday Bais Cheshvan, The Shluchim Office’s Chinuch Yaldei Hashluchim Division kicked off the new year with a Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan Celebration.

The CYH Celebration is unique, because it is the traditional Chassideshe Farbrengen in an ultra modern modem. Children from Calgary and Florida to Vilna get together via the internet to Farbreng, and to unite.

The children and their parents, the Shluchim, await these Farbrengens. For the children it is a chance to be with other children who are just like themselves, and besides, its fun! For the parents it is the perfect way to impart the Darchei Hachasidus to their children. It is a chance for their children to experience the excitement and the pride in being Lubavitch that they grew up with.

The theme of this month’s Farbrengen was “VeYaakov Holach Ledarko” – taking the Kochos from Tishrei and implementing them in the daily routine of Cheshvan. The leaders taught the children about this concept and then played a fun and interactive game that the children had received and prepared before hand.

There were also Niggunim, stories about Chof Cheshvan, cheers, and the highlight, the raffle! The suspense could be felt through the computer screen!

At the end of the Farbrengen, each child lifted a Keleshke in his own home, in front of his own computer, and together, across the globe, they sang, “We want Moshiach now!”

We celebrate these children and their courageous parents, and we echo their sincere cry of “We want Moshiach now!”

Special thanks go to the dedicated staff of the CYH headed by Mrs. Chavi Losh, to Ms. Devorah Cohen and Rabbi Tzali Wilschansky for leading the Farbrengens and to Mrs. Hadasa Korer and Rabbi Yossi Goodman for their invaluable assistance.
