Siberian Shluchim Gather For Regional Kinus
In the heated sukkah, protected from the cold that is already prevailing in Siberia, the rabbis Chabad in Siberia gathered for a local Kinus Hashluchim held in the city of Novosibirsk, the capital of Siberian region of Russia.
The host rabbi of Novosibirsk, Rabbi Shneur Zalman Zakles, opened the gathering attended by the Shliach of Irkutsk Rabbi Aharon Wagner, the Shliach of Novokuznetsk Rabbi Menachem Rabinowitz, the Shliach of Tomsk Rabbi Levi Kaminetzky, the Shliach of Karnosirsk Rabbi Benjamin Wagner, and other guest rabbis, among them Rabbi Moshe Lerman, the Rosh Yeshiva of the Yeshiva Ketana of Moscow.
Due to the great distance between the cities, the guests arrived by flight and immediately after arriving, and holding their Kinus, they returned to their cities to continue their holy work, especially in preparation for Simchat Torah. Simchas Torah is celebrated by Russian Jews with special devotion every year as it was recognized as the ‘holiday of Russian Jews’.
