“Going To Yerushalayim”, A New Song from Shlepping Nachas

It was back when the Shleppers spent Shabbos on the hills of Bat Ayin at the home of the Frenkels. On Shabbos afternoon Sofia M. approached the post-meal Shleppers with young Yisroel (Izzy) Frenkel in a happy frizzy.

Izzy had come up with a part of a song and wanted the help of the Shleppers to continue it. He sang “עם משיח צדקנו” over and over, the Shleppers loved the words, discussed with their inner souls and the lord on the completion of the song.

The lyrics and tune came down together and formulated into the world as the song you have before you today.
