Apple and Google Help Kick Start Learning the New Rambam Cycle

To begin the three new cycles of Rambam study, thousands converged on the Chabad.org Rambam App yesterday expecting to start afresh with Rabbi Yehoshua B. Gordon, a”h and the other master teachers. However, a programming blip emerged that required urgent updating. 

An endless stream of queries came in from confused users around the world and the Chabad.org App Team rapidly identified and remedied the situation. Yet, before the update would be available on the Apple App Store and Google Play store it needed to be approved, which can take six, ten, 24 or even 48 hours. This would have forced many to miss the first and possibly even the second day of the new Rambam cycle. 

In an unprecedented turn of events, the update for the app was approved by both Apple and Google teams in under 17 minutes! Fixing all of the issues and allowing for a record number of new students to join the new learning cycle and begin learning Rambam from the beginning. The upgrade will require you to update the Rambam app on your device from the Apple App Store and Google Play store.

One Chabad.org programmer remarked, “I can’t remember seeing such a fast review process – from submission to publicly available in under one hour.”

As the Rambam app was being fixed the Chabad.org Daily Study app remained fully operational as were the daily study resources of Chitas and Rambam that are always accessible online at Chabad.org/DailyStudy.
