Update: Revealed miracles were seen at the crash Monday night. The van, which had twelve occupants, had lost control and rolled into a ditch on the side of Route I-80 near Exit 12 in New Jersey. With a large picture of the Rebbe taped to the side of the van, all but one of the vans occupants were able to get out of the vehicle, with only one requiring emergency extrication.

Firefighters and Paramedics treated six of the occupants for injuries, with only three being listed in serious condition. One required emergency medivac by helicopter to a hospital.

As of Tuesday morning, unofficial updates say that most of those transported to the hospital are already being discharged, with just one requiring surgery.

Does G-d no longer exist? How about ברוך ה or חסדי השם or something similar?
Does someone really think that a printed picture saves the occupants of a van.
I am a card carrying Lubavitcher, but this way of talking is really out of sorts for a Torah way.
When Frierdiker Rebbe welcome out of jail he didn’t say the Rebbe Rashab made a miracle, he said a maamer ברוך שעשה נסים…

  • Tehillim name in English

    Please say Tehillim for
    Shneur Zalman Hakohen ben Elisheva
who was seriously injured and will be undergoing surgery.

@Bubby, the name for Tehillim is Yosef Yitzchok HaLevi ben Miriam Deborah. May he have a refuah shleima!

@Yossi, I agree with you about the writing about the Rebbe picture in the van. The Rebbe was an amazing person, but we should not be attributing a picture with saving lives — that stinks of Avoda Zara.

Baruch Hashem, the boys survived, and now they can thank Hashem for the miracle.

Corrction: I apologize, I didn’t scroll up far enough. The brochur who needs Tehillim still is Shneur Zalman ben Elisheva. May he have a refuah shleima!

To the great philosophers speaking about the Rebbe picture statement:

Perhaps they were simply suggesting that because of the bochurim’s hiskashrus, dedication to the Rebbe, or enabling Yidden to see the face of the Rebbe, they merited a miracle. There’s many ways to understand the statement.

The idea of a tzadik making a miracle is not a new thing, btw.

All very nice limmud zechus. Still doesn’t change the fact that it would have cost nothing to add a “shout-out” to Hashem somewhere in the article.
