Rabbi Manis Friedman To Host Crown Heights Book Launch For His Newest Book, “I Didn’t Ask To Come to this World”

Rabbi Manis Friedman’s most recent book, inspired by a conversation with a chaplain in a psychiatric ward, is set to make its United States launch in Crown Heights this week.

“I didn’t ask to come to this world,” despite being met with vitriolic criticism from some notorious online detractors, is a best-seller in Israel, and is already in its 4th printing.

Co-authored by Dr. Elad Ben Elul, Friedman’s message is both revolutionary and as old as the Torah itself.

“The greatest gift [you can give a child] is to stop giving gifts and start giving responsibility!” said Sivan Rahav-Meir, Israeli journalist, news reporter, and TV and radio anchor, referring to the new book, “In my eyes, this [book] will lift people off their couches and eliminate the feeling of meaninglessness.”

The book launch, to take place September 14th at 8:00 PM in the Levy Yitzchak Library, 305 Kingston Avenue in Crown Heights, will feature readings, discussion, and book signing by Rabbi Friedman and Dr. Ben Elul.

Doesn’t the Mishna say against your will you were born?
    Isn’t “notorius” a bit harsh?
