Picture of the Day

As thousands of Jewish soldiers put their lives on the line storming the beaches of Normandy on D-Day, June 6th, 1944, many thousands more flocked to Shuls across the United States to pray for their relatives and friends. This photo, taken on D-Day and make available through the Library of Congress, shows a Manhattan Shul holding all day prayers. The shul is now the home of the Chabad of Chelsea.
