Pesach Help for more than 2000 People in Need

On Thursday, April 07/Nissan 6, Chabad Berlin distributed more than 2000 Pesach packages for people in need. Most of them social week members of the Chabad Berlin community, including Holocaust survivors. They were joined this year by refugees from Odessa and Dnipro.

The children of the orphanage, whom Chabad Berlin had already evacuated from Odessa a month ago, as well as numerous families of the Jewish communities from Odessa and Dnipro will celebrate their first Passover in Berlin.

With the Passover packages, everyone should have the opportunity to celebrate a traditional and kosher Seder and stay fed over the Passover holiday. In addition to matzah, the packages also contained matzah flour, wine, gefilte fish, cheese, fruit, vegetables and other items handed out.

Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal distributed the packages along with Chabad Berlin members and with strong support from refugee youth who found their Jewish home at Chabad Berlin and wanted to give something back to the community that welcomed them.
