New York Judge Overturns State Mask Mandate for Students

by CrownHeights.info

In a win for students across the state, a New York State Supreme Court Judge overturned a State mask mandate for students, saying that the governor overstepped the bounds of office.

“NYS Supreme Court Justice Thomas Rademaker has ruled that the Governor’s mask mandate for students is illegal,” reported Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman. “The Governor and State Education Department have NO authority to enforce this mandate without the approval of State lawmakers. This is a major win for constitutional rights of parents.”

The mandate caused significant concern amongst parents and schools, sparking a grassroots fight against the mandate.

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman was one of many Executives that began fighting back against the state mandates, refusing to enforce them and even going so far as filing lawsuits against them.
