Siyum HaRambam in Morristown

Morristown, NJ — This year the Rambam cycle ended for the 25th time, on Thursday, July 17, Chof Vov Tammuz.

At the Rabbinical College of America in Morristown, New Jersey, it was celebrated with great success. Over 150 students from Tomchei Temimim, Tiferes Bachurim and Yeshivas Kayitz attended, as well as dozens of community members, all gathered in the yeshiva’s auditorium for the grand celebration.

Rabbi’s from New York and New Jersey spoke at the event. Firstly the Rosh Yeshivah and Rabbi of Morristown, Rabbi Wilschanki who emceed and started off with Dvar Malchus on the Rambam, following him Rabbi Zweibel, Mashpiah in Morristown Zal, made a Siyum on the Rambam. Next was the Haschalah for new Machzor of Rambam by the Rosh Yeshivah of Tifferes Bachurim, Rabbi Dubinsky.

Rabbi Herson, Head Shliach of the Rebbe in New Jersey, and dean of the campus, quoted the Siyum of the Rambam, explaining that Leosid Lovo will be the true revelation of Elokus. Finally the keynote speaker of the event, Rabbi Leibel Altein, spoke about how lucky Bochurim are to spend their time learning, and the unique life of a Bochur, which lives, so to speak, in Moshiach’s times.
Afterwards a special video presentation of the Rebbe’s Sicha was shown, in which the Rebbe discusses the connection between the Rambam and the Alter Rebbe.

In these two short hours everyone felt that he was given a new strength to continue doing the Rebbe’s will, hoping to merit the coming of Moshiach now.
