A Chassid, A Businessman: The Story of Zalman Deitsch

From the beginning, Zalman Deitsch’s life was marked by hardship and tragedy. When his father died a few weeks before his wedding, Zalman became the sole breadwinner for his large family of siblings. He built a successful textile firm, only to see it destroyed by a devastating fire. And he endured the untimely loss of siblings, and a debilitating struggle with disease.

Sustained by his faith in G-d, and a deep connection to the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Zalman rebuilt his business from scratch to become a philanthropist and activist, the father of Jewish leaders in communities in North America.

Now, his story is available from Hasidic Archives Publishing in a new book, “A Chassid, A Businessman: The Story of Zalman Deitsch”. The hardcover book boasts 154 images spanning it’s 311 pages.
