CCOC is dedicated to permanently evacuating children from these deplorable conditions and is the only program to do so. CCOC holds an annual charity gala, Children at Heart, to raise funds for these flights. Last year’s event honored Steven Spielberg, fashion designer Elie Tahari, Judge Judy Sheindlin, and Robert and Amy Book. This year’s event is scheduled for November 19 at Chelsea Piers, Pier Sixty. The honorees will include philanthropists, Julia and Norman Bobrow.
