Antwerp Yeshiva Students Tour Historic Jewish Europe
The students of Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim of Antwerp, Belgium, young Shluchim from all around Europe and the former USSR, spent an inspiring and uplifting Shabbos in Budapest, Hungary, together with their mentors and hosted by the local Shluchim.
The Bochurim were treated to historic tours of Budapest, as well as Prague – which they passed through on the way. Both cities have extensive Jewish histories: in Prague they visited the Maharal’s Shul and gravesite, while in Budapest they visited the great historic synagogue and the Danube riverside where Jews were rounded up and killed during the Holocaust, r”l.
The students returned back to Yeshiva on Sunday, ready to dive back in to their studies with renewed energy and vigor.
