Close to 500 people filled the Wyndham O’Hare Hotel ballroom to express their gratitude to the Wolfs and to show support for the school. The dinner was the most successful fundraising event in the school’s history. Politicians as well as Chicago’s Jewish community lay leadership sent greetings both in person and by placing greetings in a beautiful journal published for the event.

The MC for the evening was Rabbi Sholom Lubin – Rabbi of Congregation Shaya Ahavat Torah in Parsippany , NJ and Director of Chabad of SE Morris County- one of the school’s first graduates. Rabbi Yossi Chazan from the Holy Law Congregation of Manchester England fascinated the crowd with the keynote address.

After the keynote address, the lights dimmed, and on the two 10’ feet screens a beautiful film, produced by Zalman G Media was shown about the Cheder and the honorees.

The program included Dr. Yoseph Walder, Mr. Seymour J Abrams and Mr. Eric Rothner world renowned philanthropists and major Cheder donors. Rabbi Boruch Hertz, Chicago Chabad Rabbi and Merkos representative Rabbi Nochum Kaplan delivered greetings. Illinois head Shliach Rabbi Daniel Moscowitz made a moving presentation to the Wolfs.

The dinner guest left the banquet with a renewed commitment to strengthening Chinuch in Chicago and Cheder in particular. The dinner arrangements committee was chaired by Rabbi Moshe Wolf, Cheder’s Community Outreach Director.

I was not at the event, but know that your MC is first rate since we have had the good fortune to have Rabbi Shalom Lubin as our rabbi at Congregation Shaya Ahavat Torah in Parsippany, NJ.

    Yasher Koach.

It was a gr8 event. More important it is a school that cares. Cares about the students and respects the parents. We love the principals Rabbi Twersly and Mrs. Perlstein. Lakey Silber runs a gr8 preschool and both Rabbi Yitzchok and son Rabbi Moshe do gr8 in puting it all together.

I thought it was a great event. It looked beautiful – I’ve been at the hall for other events, weddings – and it looked like a different place. It ran smoothly with no wasted time. The program finished and it felt like the whole thing was an hour when it as 2 1/2.
Yasher koach to the Cheder and its arrangers.

  • PROUD MOM!!

kana”l – As a new Cheder mother, I can testify that there are only positive comments to be said about the school, its staff, and its education. I have nothing to complain about!

And the dinner was really beautiful and meaningful. It makes me proud to be a part of this community, and I beam with delight that MY CHILDREN are getting THIS TOP NOTCH LUBAVITCH education, with befitting (tznius!!) role models as their educators!!

    Go cheder!! Go Chicago!

My wife and I attended the dinner & our younger children are students at The Cheder. It was a beautiful dinner – b’gashmiyus & b’ruchniyus. Rabbi Yitzchak & Mrs. Libby Wolf were truly deserving of the honors they received due to all they do in our Community – within The Cheder & out of The Cheder. May they be Blessed with many full years to 120 & beyond – overflowing with good health, joy, & tremendous success. And may all of us be Blessed with the ultimate joy of all, the IMMEDIATE arrival of our Moshiach Tzidkeinu – NOW! Happy Adar & Happy Purim !!!!!!!!
