Students Experience Sweetness of Matan Torah

Yesterday, Rosh Chodesh Sivan, the boys of the United Lubavitcher Yeshiva of Flatbush were able to experience their own visit to Har Sinai in various ways.

Besides the standard classroom instruction about the Yidden’s encampment at Har Sinai and receiving the Torah, the younger and middle grades were treated to a “tasty” visit to Har Sinai.  They were able to decorate a delicious home-baked cupcake, by themselves, with various colored icings of their choice and then top it off with all kinds of sweet toppings.  Of course, there had to be cookie “luchos” on top to finish the job.

Some boys were so excited they ate their hard work immediately, while others opted to share it at home.

All in all the children had a great time and felt they were really experiencing the giving of the Torah.  As usual, this was another of the many innovative methods employed at the Yeshiva to make the learning as pleasant and sweet as possible.

Special thanks to the PTA for their time and effort in arranging this wonderful project. For further information, please call: 718-434-0795.
