Funds Raised; Rabbi Ceitlin on His Way to U.S.

When CrownHeights.info received word that veteran Shliach to Tzfas Rabbi Aaron Eliezer Ceitlin was in dire need of donations to help facilitate rare cancer treatment that is only available in the United States, we immediately published an article urging our readers to join the cause and donate to the fund. Today, less than two days later, we can happily announce that the necessary funds have been raised, and the beloved educator and Shliach is on his way to the U.S.

Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky, member of the Vaad Rabbonei Lubavitch in Eretz Yisroel, who spearheaded the fundraising effort on behalf of his dear friend, released the following letter thanking the donors who rallied to the cause:

Dear contributor,

Thanks to the unprecedented outpour of love and support expressed by you and thousands of Anash and Shluchim around the world, (and the tremendous efforts made by Rabbi Y. Gerlitzky – Tel Aviv, Rabbi Y. Kramer – Tveria and Rabbi N. Lurie – Kfar Chabad,) the amount needed to immediately start the treatment was raised within less than two days!!!

This powerful and immediate response made it possible for this life-saving procedure to begin as early as the end of this week! It has given Rabbi Ceitlin a tremendous boost of joy and confidence, seeing that he is not alone in this battle – he has thousands around the world generously partnering with him. This renewed spirit and optimism may be equally as important as the actual treatment.

Our NEW goal!

All donations from this point on will be dedicated to alleviating any financial stress from Rabbi Ceitlin and his family, making sure that they have all they need both for general expenses and for future travel and medical costs.

We hope and pray that in the merit of the tremendous expression of Achdus and Ahavas Yisroel, R’ Aaron Lazer will have a quick and complete recovery. And we will merits the ultimate and complete Geula NOW

With true appreciation,

Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky

  • much appreciated

Boruch Hashem. I really appreciate you being so honest and reporting – I feel that the money is going to the right place and sure, the family definitely will need many expenses taken care of. I will continue to give what I can. Rabbi Ceitlin should recover quickly and completely and be able to continue doing even more than before. I know he has had a tremendous impact on hundreds or even thousands.

Boruch Hashem! Arnie is the real deal, the best of the best. I was so upset when I heard he was sick, especially since I haven’t got any money to give, and can only say tehillim. He should have a refuah shleima bekorov, and come back to Eretz Yisroel with the Rebbe.
