Over 350 Walk for Montreal Friendship Circle

Rainy weather did not deter more than 350 people from attending the recent Walk for Friendship in Trudeau Park, the fourth annual event where participants walk, move and run a mile (or 5km) to raise awareness about the Friendship Circle of Montreal.

The Friendship Circle is an organization that unites teen volunteers with special needs children in a friendship that enriches both lives. Through a wide range of innovative programs and activities, the two share fun and friendship.

The Walk for Friendship opened at 1:00 PM on September 21st, where Rabbi Leibel Rodal blew a Shofar. Several hundred people then walked 2 or ran 5 km, eventually returning to Trudeau Park for a barbecue, petting zoo, inflatables and pony rides. Hypnotist and mentalist Spidey performed, and the Friendship Circle children were cheered and celebrated.

The walk brought out the spirit of true friendship for the children, volunteers and supporters of the Friendship Circle.
