Mendel. Is that what you saw from this entire levaye???? nebach!!!! And how do you know that there weren’t people with enough ahavas yisroel, derech erets etc. and took off from work to attend the levaye. Try using your right eye a bit more and just seeing the good. They say it could help bring Moshiach…….

amazing how many people took off of work during the day to be at the levaya

  • Re: Mendel

If you have nothing nice to say about a funeral, don’t say anything…or perhaps try, it is amazing how many people took off from work to attend his funeral.FTR people DO take off to attend funeral’s

  • FYI MENDEL:

I paid my workers to go in early to open instead of me so i can attend the levaye

    To Mendel and Menachem,

It is the custom of Yiden to stop their work and attend a levaya. Chevra Kadisha are volunteers who stop work to perform this mitzvah.

You are obviously from those brought up in the ‘ME’ generation where work does not stop for anything or anyone. Money is god and nothing else is important. Not family, or friends.

It is high time you learn what living as a Yid is really all about.

  • TO MENACHEM MENDEL

the Halocho is you HAVE to stop work to go to a levaya, especially if its a that of a Talmid Chochom!
