Pidyon Haben Under Fire in Sderot
Despite the non-stop barrage of rockets from the neighboring Gaza Strip, a joyous Pidyon Haben ceremony was held tonight at the Chabad Center of Sderot, Israel.
The Pidyon Haben was performed on a baby boy born 30 days ago to Rabbi Asher Pizem, son of Shliach to Sderot Rabbi Moshe Zev Pizem.
The dozens of attendees put their fears aside and celebrated joyously with the Baalei Simcha, despite several rockets that were fired at the city during the course of the Farbrengen.
Chasidic singing star Benny Friedman was at hand to entertain and uplift the spirits of the community.
