Tank to Promote ‘Tefillin Selfies’ in Memory of Gedalia
A mitzvah tank dedicated to the memory of Gedalya Greenzayd, OBM has embarked on a journey across the east coast. Gedalia, originally from Ukraine, was tragically killed when he was run over by a DOS truck on Kingston Ave. this past winter.
The Mitzvah tank is manned by Gedalia’s friends from Yeshiva: Adam Nessenoff (Boca Raton, FL), Leibel Khazanovich (Sharon, MA), Mendel Grossbaum (Stony Brook, NY), Dovid Ginsburg (Myrtle Beach, SC) and Mendy Kreiman (Palm Springs, CA).
They will start by heading north to Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Their aim is to get over 1,000 Jewish men on America’s east coast to put on Tefilin in Gedalya’s memory.
The Bochurim will encourage these men to take “tefilin selfies,” which will help document the experience and can easily become an avenue for further communication.
