Cheder at the Ohel Gets New Principal

Cheder at the Ohel, known as an excellent, small, Chassidish school just outside of the city whose student body consists of Lubavitch boys from Long Island, Queens, Crown Heights and Connecticut, has announced that a new full-time principal will be joining their staff.

For the last few years the Cheder has been a parent run school.

“Cheder has been a lovely, warm, Chassidish place for my sons to learn these past years. Now the time has come to bring our small Cheder to the next level. We are so happy to welcome Rabbi Pinchas Margolis as our full time principal,” enthused Devorah Rosenzweig, Cheder Coordinator.

Rabbi Margolis is a long time educator, dedicated to inculcating students with a warmth and chayos for learning.
During the years he taught at Cheder Yaldei Hashluchim of Yonkers, he organized many programs and brought a fresh and innovative approach to the entire school. Since joining Cheder at the Ohel, Rabbi Margolis has done the same.  He has been acting as part time principal for the latter part of this year, while continuing to teach the 4th grade.

“I have no doubt that Rabbi Margolis’ background in psychology and his dedication to connect to each student will aid him in bringing Cheder at the Ohel to new heights,” said Mrs. Rosenzweig.
