Students Rise Early to Prepare for Yud Shvat

In accordance with the Rebbe’s directive that talmidim should prepare themselves in honor of Yud Shvat, a Hashkem (‘early bird’) program for the talmidim of the Oholei Torah Mesivta is in full swing.

In the early hours of the morning, talmidim can be seen running to the Zal on Troy Avenue to learn Bosi L’gani 30 minutes before seder chassidus. They are treated with danishes, juice and coffee in addition to prizes, which will be given out at the end of the Mivtza. This program is attended by well over 50% of the talmidim, and many more are joining every day.

The project is being coordinated by Rabbi Zushe Wilhelm, Menahel, with the help of the many outstanding mashpyim, Rabbis Dovid Kahanov, Nisim Lagziel, Zalman Laufer, Hillel Laufer and talmidim hashluchim Levi Kesselman, Dudi Slapochnik and Betzalel Scheinfeld.

Special thanks to Rabbi Chaim Shaul Brook of Lahak for the Bosi L’gani booklets.
